寂静的声音“Sound of Silence”系其中一首我本人好中意嘅歌，等我嚟介绍下唱呢首歌嘅幕后功臣Simon & Garfunkel。

寂静的声音“Sound of Silence”作为Simon & Garfunkel发行于1966年1月嘅第二张大碟，“Sound of Silence”成为咗日后其四张作品中第一张大热嘅专辑。而“Sound of Silence”一曲更系使佢哋从默默无名一举获得了Billboard嘅冠军位置，而佢哋更系喺随后嘅五年内成为咗Billboard榜上嘅长客。作为时代嘅产物，“Sound of Silence”恰如其分地成为咗60年代嘅一部分。

影片《毕业生》嘅主题曲斯卡泊罗市集“Scarborough Fair”让我永远记住Simon & Garfunkel。享有史上最伟大二重唱美称嘅Simon & Garfunkel无疑系60年代最具代表性嘅声音，Simon言之有物嘅词曲，精彩嘅勾勒出果个时代嘅种种，也道出当时年轻人嘅心声，加上Garfunkel只应天上有嘅超级美声，造就了“Sound Of Silence”，“Mrs. Robinson”，“Bridge Over Troubled Water”。。。等人人耳熟能详嘅劲曲，30年来仍然魅力不减。

正当英伦“甲壳虫乐队”Beatles嘅旋风跨洋横扫60年代乐坛嘅同时，Simon & Garfunkel二重唱组以清新和煦嘅吉他民谣摇滚乐风席卷英美排行榜还以颜色。喺68-70年间，陆续以“The Graduate”毕业生电影原声带，“Bookends”，“Bridge Over Troubled Water”三张专辑蝉联二十六周排行榜冠军。其中，刻画患难见真情嘅Billboard六周冠军小品“Bridge Over Trouble Water”更一举囊括葛莱美奖最佳专辑、最佳单曲等六项大奖。令广大乐迷感到遗憾嘅系喺咁辉煌嘅成绩背后，却换嚟Simon & Garfunkel宣告解散嘅消息。喺这次之后就只曾有两次重聚舞台嘅表演：分别喺1981年嘅纽约中央公园五十万人演唱会同埋1990年晋升摇滚名人殿堂，喺纽约嘅颁奖典礼上。

呢首歌发行嘅时候，我都咪出世。我之所以会喜欢佢哋嘅歌系因为中学嘅时候，我嘅校长借咗柄带过我听，系学英文用嘅。听歌学英文，仲有广东话做解释，好易上脑。自从听咗“Sound Of Silence”，“Scarborough Fair”同埋“Bridge Over Trouble Water”之后，我疯狂咁爱上咗佢哋嘅歌，尤其系“Sound Of Silence”同埋“Scarborough Fair”，我好中意好中意。

我中意旧歌唔出奇嘎，我唔单只中意，我仲识唱好多旧歌添，中文嘎啦，仲有英文嘎啦。后生仔都可以中意旧嘢嘎嘛，更何况我系特别中意旧嘢同埋奇怪嘅嘢，咪当我系老饼至得嘎。

“Sound Of Silence”嘅歌词我觉得好有意思，试谂下寂静又点会有声音咧？科技越发达，人与人之间嘅距离就反而拉得越嚟越远。互相交谈，中间往往隔住咗电话，传呼机，收音机。面对面沟通嘅机会就反而越嚟越少，你仲记唔记得同屋企人面对面讲话嘅时候喺几时吖？寂静就好似一嗰CANCER，无声无息咁慢慢将人摧毁，褪色。
